Holiday - Game On

can safely say that the holiday has begun now. tonnes of plans, drafted before the exam ends, yet, after i returned home, i found something that my hand had never touched for like years - Video Games, and this actually stirred my initial plans for the holiday.

My first quest for this holiday is to complete the RPG game, so,

protagonists : Highschool students
These so-called highschool students venture into unknown world to battle freaking monsters like 10x their size but win, yet they're afraid of high-school delinquents from their own school. wth rite? XP

Paintball and Holiday

HOLIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

The end of paeds OSCE last Friday indicates the beginning of a 2 month holiday (hopefully. I'm expecting a Pass, oh please, please let me.. > <) 

had a rough game plan drafted out, 

1) 3 more weeks left,

2) so many new books

3) so many new magazines

4) so many drama series

5) so many movies

Hopefully i'll have the time to get all things i'd plan, going to plan. Happy holiday to my coursemates also hah.

It's Like Digging Your Own Grave

Hey you, when do you want to stop digging?

*silent, cont. digging

It's time to stop digging and get out of the hole.

*looked at you, smiled, but cont. digging.

It'll be too deep to climb up yourself later, ya know?

*look at you, nodded, but cont. digging

~few hours later~

Hey there, i see you're still digging?

*gave a nod, and cont. digging

How's it going so far?

*gave a smile, and cont digging

What's so important in there anyway?

*ignored it, cont. digging

You know what, I'll go get a long rope to help you get out later after you've finished it.

WOAH, YOU'RE REALLY DIGGING HARD I SEE!!!

*sound of someone digging

I CAN'T SEE YOU, IT'S TOO DARK..

*faint digging sound

CAN YOU HEAR ME??

*someone panting

ARE YOU STILL THERE DIGGING???

~suddenly~

the earth shoke

*rumbling sound

the earth surrounding the hole starts to crumble bit by bit.

*sound effect

the ground surrounding it starts to cave in.

*sound effect

within seconds, the hole is covered by earth.

*dead silence

and there he stayed, buried forever, alone and dead.

you stood there, staring at the now covered hole, still figuring what'd happened.

What?? you dun like the ending?? K then, we'll change it....

~suddenly~

the sky turned grey, big cumulonimbus clouds came out of nowhere.

And a heavy downpour came all of a sudden, so heavy that your vision is limited to less than 5 meters.

You threw the rope down and shouted him to climb up.

You felt a thug, he's climbing up.

But the rope is too slippery, and it slipped out from your hand.

*thump

You heard something felt hard inside the hole.

But you can do nothing now

You can only watch helplessly as the rain water begins to fill up the hole.

She just thanked me like 5 seconds ago after i opened the door for her, and he said i was not gentleman enuf, just because i din open de next door where he was standing at while staring at us with a "please move faster and dun try to waste my time" look. and apparently i have the 'general population look' cos tat one action i missed can cause him to generalize all medic guys as 'tak tau be gentleman'..

he led us with answers such as central cord syndrome to his 'what type of spinal cord lesion that you know' before bashed me with 'you should classified that to complete and incomplete transection first' because i continued answering him with ant. cord syn, Brown Sequard syn. etc.

"What is the presentation for spinal shock for the first 48 hours?"
Me - it can present with a neurogenic shock due to autonomic dysregulation. and also for the first 48hours there'll be a lower motor neuron *interupted before i can blurt out the word SYMPTOM
"WAT? you sure it's lower motor neuron" *stare at me
"it'll present with muscle paralysis and areflexia"
Me thinking - wth.. correct la me, paralysis and areflexia is a symptom of LMN lesion ma, and i thought i read wrong for a second back there.

"How do you treat neurogenic shock?"
Me - the main concern is the hypovolemic shock (relative). so, i'll give vasoconstrictors and also do a fluid resuscitation *interrupted
"Fluid resuscitation? in neurogenic shock?"
Me thinking - huh? takkan a spinal cord can transect suddenly. mestilah ada accident. got accident severe enuf to cause spinal cord, mestilah ada hemorrhage... ARGH.. he din even let me finish answering.. ARGHHHHHH.....

"when's your exam"
the others - "March"
"how long you gonna stil be in ortho"
the others - "next week is the last week dy"
And then he looked at ME before saying, "And you stil can't answer my question"
WTH, why de heck did you look at me when i'm the only one who tried(and you din even let me complete them) to answer all your questions while the others din even try when you asked them..--_--

anyway, at least he gave us teaching, some other groups din even hav it... XD.. but when i ponder back, hmmmm, maybe the way i answer was bad, have to buck up with my knowledge and mend up my VIVA skills....

LAST WEEK IN ORTHO WEY.... the beginning of paeds life, PAEDS ORTHO tomorrow before going to PAEDS POSTING next week. XD..

when you had just convince yourself that psychiatry is over, and your supervisor happily inform you about doing a long case

when you were just about to prepare to read for long case, and you just have to remember about your part of yet-to-start power point presentation for SSM

when you were just thinking of doing your SSM after dinner, and you've to go out for _______ but they ______

when you're irritable and wanna quench your thirst, your water bottle will so-happened to be empty, and you've to refill it from a 70-year-old-male-with-severe-BPH-liked water filter taking years to fill a 500ml bottle.

when you really need a bath at night, and the weather is so freezing cold

when there's an ulcer in your mouth, and you've to brush your teeth, and gargle with Listerine

when you were just thinking of sleeping, and it just occurred to you that you haven't hang the clothes you washed before dinner.


at the end of the day, you'll just look back and complain about how miserable and wretched the day was, every wonderful or blessed incidences and events being shrouded and concealed.
yea, this is life...

Internal Med Goals.... XD

Academically :
1) spend more time studying the clinical diseases and related things (and i mean alot more) rather than playing games(basketball tak kira though)

2) get myself one chaperon who'll push me to do ward rounds
3) discuss a lot with friends when i encounter interesting things that i can't understand
4) try not to tolak yy's invitation to masuk hospital learn clinical things(yy, pls remind me this when i said i dun wan to go ward round ataupun buat benda lain)
5) if there's a study group, i hope i can finish the tasks given to me and i'll stay focus and follow the discussions
6) be MORE YENG than TanHiangJin and the other internal med guys in doing PE (see you noobs do PE amaze me wor last time..><)

7) bangun pagi-pagi and won't get lazy or late to class
8) better handwriting so that i can read whatever things i'd written

Non-academically :
1) Be a man, not a wusssss.. confidence builds slowly..><..... dun expect much 2) Be more DULL .... oops... mature i mean.. XD... no more stupid jokes, no more play play(but this takes time to change too, XD)
3) resist any temptations to voice out stupid things unless to people deemed suitable and close. (dun wanna annoy anymore people)
4) accept the shitty fact that not all people are unselfish, so, change from 我为人人，人人为我 to 人人为我, 我为人人.
5) Healthy life-style
6) I might fall flat, i might stay flat for awhile, but i'll soar to greater heights.. (kick me if i lie too long though)
